Native shrubs and small trees arrive at Bees

Native shrubs have arrived at Bees! Shrubs and small trees are mainstays of the garden, providing structure and background for flowers and other elements. Leaf shape and tone is important, as well as plumes of color, seed pods, and seasonal interest. In addition, choosing a native shrub encourages pollinators such as bees and butterflies to support our ecosystem and food supply.

Further information: Descriptions, pricing info, lighting needs and pollinator info for each shrub will be available at Bees beginning Friday February 19th. These are fully formed, good-sized beauties in three gallon pots or larger, grown neonic-free and with pollinator-friendly, environmental methods. Please note that the shrubs are in the dormancy phase in February, not fully leafed out and flowering.

As the season progresses and weather warms, Bees will stock more natives, ornamental perennials, herbs and more. This the first of many sustainable and earth-friendly options we are rolling out this spring. Stay tuned!
